Ok so Ive wanted a necklace of some sort and today I found an heirloom that I thought would be cool to put on a chain but was wondering if it would be to much. It is a medal given to a family member from the french side during world war 1. All I would do is remove the ribbon which is pretty much already off and put it on a chain. But want to know do you think it would look to girly or bulky?

to be honest i can't picture it working with that piece. but the idea is good. i strongly believe that jewelry on men need to feel more found/ hand me down. something with a story. but that medal seems a bit too bulky.

what i did was made a pendant out of an antique coin from my ethnic heritage.
