What colour of shoes to wear with light blue suit

I'll need to try later on. Tailor has the suit right now, to make some adjustments (shorten the sleeves a bit, widen the pants a little at the waist).
But I don't have a lot of trust in this tailor any longer. They told me it would be a good idea to wear a belt and suspenders at the same time ... That does not seem like a good idea?

There is no functional reason to wear a belt and suspenders at the same time. Do the pants have brace buttons installed?

Here are two walnut pairs that would look good, both are Allen-Edmonds, one is calfskin and the other is shell cordovan. The top pair belongs to my son, the bottom pair belongs to me.
