Hi all,

I'm looking for some kind of lightweight travel boot or shoe that would work both for light hikes, but also would look decent for nightlife to be worn with jeans or chinos.

Right now I'm thinking something like a chukka boot, but would want details like this:
- Little to no heel on it (0.25-0.5" at most)
- A rubber sole, preferably mini-lug or similar. Basically want it to be durable but also a little dressy. Regular rubber or dainite could be acceptable, but I think a mini-lug sole would be best. No crepe soles!
- At least water resistant, though waterproof would be great
- Under $200? Maybe flexible, but cheaper is better
- Non-suede (to deal with weather)
- Preferably a medium to dark brown to hide stains/dirt/etc

Any suggestions?

For reference, I found this Danner boot:

Looks decent, but a bit pricey, and I'm not sure how waterproof it is.
