Hello, I'm new here. The reason I joined this forum is to ask you guys for some advice. Lately the issue I've been having with dress shirts is that none of them seem to fit me right. I am of average height (5'9") with a slim build. The main issue I have is that most shirts aren't built for my body type. So far the only "slim fitting" shirts I have found that seem to fit alright are the Express 1MX extra slim fit shirts. All other brands always fall short in one way or another. Most will be too baggy around the midsection so when I tuck in my shirt i have a huge amount of excess fabric hanging around. Those that are actually slim fitting and correct this issue always have sleeves that are too short and so my suit coat sleeves end up being longer than my shirt sleeves and that looks ridiculous. Sometimes I can't button the top buttons around my neck which means I can't wear a tie. The Express shirts fit right and the sleeves are the correct length as well. So I suppose I can just settle for a life of wearing nothing but Express shirts, but I figure I could come and ask here in the hopes that some of you know of another brand. One issue I have with Express shirts is that they are a pain to iron and the color fades too quickly. In my search for different shirts I came across these shirts online

, but I don't know how I feel spending $30+ after shipping on a shirt from a brand that I've never heard of The brand is Amtify, feel free to look it up). However, the fit on these shirts looks just about right. That's pretty much my body type. Big brands tend to tailor fit shirts for the model wearing them, but when you actually buy they don't fit like they do in the pictures (much like fast food restaurants). I assume factory workers put them together real fast to earn a living and that the company doesn't care much about quality control.

Another idea I've been kicking around is buying shirts recommended by you folks that are a good value for both the fabric and how long they retain their color after several washes, and then have those shirts tailored to my specifications. That starts to get pricey, but there really aren't many other options. Thanks in advance for any response.

Those shirts look ridiculously pinned. If they are not pinned, they will be a bear to wear. Shirts that are that tight are not wearable tucked into trousers - rotate to your side, or sit down, and pulling will occur that will untuck the shirt.

Having an alterationist dart a shirt will slim the torso

As above, those shirts simply don't fit.

Do you have a photo of you in one of the shirts that are too baggy?
