You may be able to find a euro-spec Blackjack with WiFi - a colleague of mine who works out of France has one.

From my experience, there's a certain "intuitiveness" to things like cellphones/computers/electronics easily picked up by the generations who literally grew up around them than otherwise and for those who didn't grow up with these gifts they have to learn how things work.

It's not a problem but it definitely affects the rate of adoption - not true in all cases but in most. I think this intuitiveness is very important in what kind of phone you would want to buy - especially if the instruction manual for your phone is in a foreign language.

Unfortunately, there is no phone on Verizon with all of your specs. AT&T has the HTC Tilt which meets all of your requirements, and that will be out in early November. If you're in no hurry, and are sticking with Verizon, I'd go with the HTC Mogul. The Samsung i760 has also just come out. Neither has straightforward GPS but the assisted GPS provided by Verizon (that you have to sign up for). The i760 does not have revision A EVDO.

If you're really willing to wait it out, you could hold out for the second revision of the iPhone which should be out the beginning of next year.

I'm 36 and I've had a cell phone for 20 years now! Done computers from the Radio Shack TRS-80 through to my home brew gaming desk top I slapped together from choice parts off newegg.com

I get what you're saying but some of us grups have been "earlier adopters" for a very long time

To update this, I went with the AT&T tilt. I'm happy with it so far, though I do find the lack of a phone keypad extremely annoying.
