I am a huge fan of both. What are your thoughts?? I made some tee, hoodies, and sweat knickers and shorts for my spring 11 collection. Do you like solid or do you like constrating colors for the ribbing??

Color blocking can look cool, but is hard to do well. I feel like it works better if the blocking emphasizes a silhouette, rather than simply being different for different pieces of the pattern.

Contrast finishings are fine, but a little bit played out at this point. Ruffled/pleated stuff with a contrast border can look great.

It tends to look bad more often than it looks good. Cheap, contrast piping cardigans come to mind.. I like really bold color-blocking though, like shirts divided in half. Makes for interesting looking ensembles.

I understadn but that's not what I am getting at. I think people have fucked up color blocking so bad that people freak out when someone mentions the word.
Rigger tees are classic and the contrat colors always have their place.
I guess pics are in order.

i like the color blocked jil shirts... wear those under a simple grey or navy blazer and you add a whole nother level to the look.
