hey andre, i'm in socal too. do you mind telling me which market you saw that at? i'd be very careful with it too. some champagnes store ok; others that seem older are actually recently disgorged, so the pressure is still fresh. i believe the current release on l'ermitage rose is 2002 or 2003.
