For sale is a beautiful pair of AE for Brooks Brothers Fifth Ave. cap toe oxfords. Factory Seconds, purchased from the AE Shoebank about a year and a half ago.
Excellent condition. I'd say 8 out of 10. I never could figure out why they were seconds. I think it was slight creasing in the toe (which would've happened anyway). Mild creasing in the upper from normal wear, and some wear on the back of the heel. But these have plenty of life left before they'll need re-crafted. They've been maintained with shoe trees (not included) and Alden cream shoe polish.
At this price would make an ideal "beater dress shoe for guys in wetter climates.
These retail for $199 ($400+ as Firsts).
