They actually had a pair at TJ maxx for 100 bucks. They felt pretty thick and stiff. The hardware was actually decent too, they had crotch selvage too. they were a 38 so i didnt try them on, but for 50 bucks, i would say get em.

I like how the description glosses over interesting details like selvage coin pocket and fly, and unwashed, instead opting for "flat front" and "curved front pocket."

I don't like how they don't mention the fit of the jean. How big is the leg opening, thigh size, rise, etc. If the size chart for trousers applies for these jeans the waist sizes are actually 2 sizes larger than they say, i.e. a 30 is actually a 32.

I have a pair of hickey jeans that I picked up at the sample sale a few months back really cheap. I don't know if these are the same ones though. Quality is pretty decent. But yeah, they definitely run a bit big in the waist so you probably want to size down 1. sizing down 2 might be pushing it, but maybe not.

Anybody else think that the stitching is the brightest yellow they have ever seen on a pair of jeans - seriously, its like neon?
Anybody agree or am I just being picky?

how far down from the crotch did you measure the thigh? I assume that's not BiG style measurement cuz 11.25 thigh + 36 waist are the dimensions of a lollipop

I measured BIG style - but I'll double check tomorrow. based on measurements, the fit felt lower in the rise than expected, bigger in the waist, and tight in the thighs

Given my lack of denim knowledge, hard for me to answer. How does one determine whether they are raw?

I just remeasured following the BIG website directions to the best of my ability. And, the "lollipop" measurements are accurate. To be clear, waist was a shade under 18.75 but greater than 18.5. Thigh - Measuring straight from the crotch to the outside of the leg parallel to the waistband - was 11.25, maybe a hair less
