As gorgeous as that is, and I'd love one, I'd hestitate to call it a peacoat, for the following "traditional" reasons, being the bit of the clothing definitions purist that I am.

1. It is grey rather than navy or black
2. It has 8 rather than 6 buttons
3. Its pockets, while correctly vertical are too high and are zipped
4. The cuff adjusters (peacoats traditionally don't have cuff adjusters)

Otherwise, yes, a beautiful peacoat

6 isn't the "correct" number of buttons, I don't know where you got that idea. My peacoat has 10 and is WWII issue. The number has changed over time.

H&M has a peacoat with zippers. Feels pretty crappy to the touch, but definately different from all the other coats.

Also, it isn't too classy looking.

I love random, pointless, gaudy **** everywhere on my clothes. With enough of it I don't have to wear my bling or grill.

Yes, I'm a medium but I can't say I'd buy that coat. I am not fond of the vertical pockets and I really want a "belt'n'zipper" gaudy look.
