I snagged what I thought was a Hickey Freeman Navy flannel chalkstripe suit on ebay last week when the cashback was at 30%--

LINK

Upon arrival, the suit turns out to be black with a subtle taupe/warm/bronze toned striping, with ticket pocket, high armholes, great waist suppression, dual vents and great flat front pants. Jacket fits like a glove, with zero tailoring required. After a conversation and compromise solution with the seller, Ive decided to keep the suit.

Discussions about the propriety of black suits in general aside-- other than my semi formal/dinner wear, I dont own anything else black--

I find myself at a bit of a loss as to what to wear with it. All of my shirts are either composed of white, blues, pinks, purples, lavender-- Maybe Im unimaginative but Im stuck at white shirt and warm color tie, and unsure of the shoe possibilities...

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Good luck!
