I'm amazed they are any retailers left with decent return policies.

All I can really say is that the wealthier cities you go to (Edina, Wayzata, Eden Prarie....), the nicer stuff you'll find. The items you listed, however are thrift store staples, and I find similar items daily on my thrift stops.....but if it's what you like, you'll have no trouble finding more in the metro area thrift shops (Goodwill and Value Villages tend to have some good finds around here)

Edit:

Try the Saint Paul Goodwill by the Porky's Drive-in. I found some nice stuff last time I was there, and it's right in your neck of the woods.

Two cheap-ish but nice linen jackets, one dark blue, one mid blue, just in time for Summer.

10 pounds each.

I saw something today that illustrated all that was wrong with the 80s. It was a high quality suit from Boyd's which is a high end store in phillidelphia. It's a brand I didn't recognize but it was a well made italian suit with: heavily padded shoulders, shawl lapel

, 2 button double breast (that's two buttons total

), triple reverse pleats, no vents, in a black and white glen check. Truely horrible and actuallly in my size so I could try it on and relish it's horribleness.

Got a pair of tan Incotex lightweight cords this evening ($7) and a perfect condition Anderson & Sheppard tie ($3). I'll post pics of the latter tomorrow.
