Speaking of, I picked this up as a sportcoat, but now I'm not so sure. SC? Orpahn? It's a nomentano. And how recent is this label? EDIT: it's a 50/50 wool/silk blend, if that helps.
Thats a sport coat. Probably a decade old. Quite a good praiseworthy find. One thing I just want to add about Brioni: What is it and their fits? I get the impression, based on all Brioni finds I have had in the past, they seem to go for the roly - poly types - very unflattering. I avoid Brioni like a plague for myself, how many agree with my sentiment or am I biasing my opinion by basing it on only a few examples?

This is the site we use for vintage: http://vintagefashionguild.org/label-resource/gucci/

There is a great listing from A-Z.

Be aware there is also a trend of people taken labels from trashed luxury designer items and sewing them into other items to fake. Ask the store what proof they have for authenticity. They should be able to explain and show using the web. You can also join the Vintage Forum and have them authenticate it. Anything we posted takes about 24 hours to get input from industry insiders.

Ciao, Vlassis
Thanks a ton for that reply man,

I will use that sites forum to ask a couple questions for sure - very greatly appreciated!

....... And now I have an other question.... I found a pair of loafers that are in pretty good shape but the insole markings are worn off - all they have is the markings on the inside - side of the heel, and I couldn't seem to get anywhere from google - hoping one of you pros can help

Here it is:(What is it!)

Not just you. I have a wider waist than normal for my body type, and the Brioni fits me better. I'm 6'3 200 but still needed good tailoring to get it slimmed down for me.

Speaking as a "roly poly" type, go ahead and send any Brioni in a 44-46R my way kthxbai.

I'll defer to Klobber, but FWIW, if I saw someone wearing it, I would think suit jacket. The pattern is so minuscule that the jacket reads like a birdseye, almost solid. The solid black buttons also say suit jacket to me.

Keep it anyway... You should be able to get $30-40 for it if it's in good shape. I bought mine just before Christmas for $20 from a seller that didn't know what he had (mint condition, never worn).

New Engladers I need help with a tag. Found this today for real cheap so I picked it up as a gamble. Feels like cotton and has wooden buttons. Anyone recognize this tag?

Beautiful... I don't think I could wear them at the price you'd want to sell. but if I found them at thrift prices, I'd rock the s$%t out of them...
