It is hefty, but in a good way as you've found out. You should snap a pic and put it on my affiliate thread to be in the comp for a free tie/scarf etc. So far Gerry is the only one who has entered and has it in the bag unless he gets some competition.

Hmm good point but I only have access to my iphone and the showers at work, unfortunately. I'll throw something in there regardless.

Based on the photo he took of the tie, I've no doubt thebrownman's entry will be appearing in due course.

Haha funny you say that, I'll be wearing the tie this evening to my sister's birthday party. Her theme is "Dress to Impress", so I look forward to seeing how guests respond to the request.

Did you find the shirt?
^ No, I haven't had a chance to get out of the office and look. Thanks for asking and for yesterday's suggestion smile.gif

My tie arrived yesterday and I picked it up today. Really liking the way it knots!

I had to google wiki to find out who Charlie Pickering was/is.

Anyway - good luck with the tie thing.

Advance notice.

I have a genuine vintage Brooks Makers Tweed Jacket that is too just a bit too small and sadly I'll have to sell.

Its a beautiful thing. Marked 40R but fits a bit bigger -say 41S. I'll do measurements etc later.

This is the real IVY deal.

Swelled/raised edges and seams, proper genuine 2 roll 3 (or is it 3 roll 2?), flapped patch pockets, tweed, soft natural shoulders, single vent, half/three quarter lined, in great nick, brownish herringbone tweed with interesting stripes.

More to come when I get good photos taken.
