Sorry Lacoste have been shite since the late 1980's when they stopped making them in France.
This sounds good, how ever I wonder, and this is before I rush out and buy a tin, I have an old pair of yard boots I willing to experiment on, but have you tried it yet?
I second joboro with Polo Ralph Lauren. If you're based in Melbourne, head to the Essendon DFO and buy polos there. You can get a reasonable assortment of colours and at times, they go on sale for $34.95. Otherwise, I'd get Lacoste. I'm not surprised you've had bad experiences with Witchery stuff. I've found the one item I've bought there to be of rubbish quality as well.

In the grand tradition of Melbourne inventions (KIWI was invented and made here) I bring you the Thrifty iGentts Shoe Reviver.
