dudes complaining about customer service: why dont you just call them? you get an immediate answer over the phone rather than waiting for someone to respond to an email.

yep, call them. they aren't computer people lol.

also, sperrys don't really compare to quoddy in construction or materials. as for value, that's up for debate i think.

Is there no place in the Bay Area who carries Quoddy blucher mocs so i can size them? Urban Outfitters did a pair with Quoddy but the SF store doesn't carry them. Villains doesn't have them, and neither does anyone else i can think of. Google brings up...nothing.

They SUCK SUCK SUCK. Rarely have I experienced total lack of reliability coupled so well with crappier customer service (oh yeah we're running a few weeks behind schedule. OK this is almost the end of the summer... when are you going to ship my shoes? not sure, we can't guarantee a ship date really...

Southwillard has the charcoal suede ones which look similar, but I really want the navy suede. Please help!

How is sizing compared to Sperry? I have a pair of the J. Crew ones that appear to be unlined but I'm probably wrong I sized down to an 11.5 which fit a little too big without socks and are perfect with socks. I'd probably wear whatever Quoddy I get be it Blucher or Maliseet with socks.

Not boat shoes, but Quoddy Ring Boots in natural Chromepak. The leather is extremely thick and waxy. It was difficult to capture the peanut buttery color, but I think it comes through best in the close up of the seams. More photos here.
