You can trace your feet and mail it to Quoddy.  They will make a sizing reccomendation.  I have told they run a little small.

If going to wear barefoot then go with your regular size.

Also, if you're going to wear them barefoot put some terry cloth insoles in them. I just bought a pair and I have to say its going to save my Quoddys from stinking.

In case anyone is interested:

I recently bought a pair from Aldo but it seems that after a week of wear the insoles are destroyed. How long have you been using these?

I've worn then a few days now - they're holding up great. Some rubber cement on the bottom holds them in place perfectly!

what is the advantage of having glove lining for the moc? would it makes it more comfy and less scratch if i wear them barefoot?
I like the leather lining for wearing with socks but don't care for it barefoot. It's soft, but it also makes it feel clammy and it doesn't breathe as well it seems like. If your feet don't sweat at all it might not be a problem, but for me unlined is best barefoot. I have two pair unlined and one pair of boat shoes that are lined and I try to only wear those when it's pretty cool out or I know I won't be wearing them that long. My unlined canoe mocs are my go-to summer shoes...so comfy and cool.

thank you and i have just email quoddy back to have it unlined. My feet dont sweat much but i think is better doing it unlined since i m living in a very humid area. I will post some pics when i received my boat moc.

i have it customize like these...
horween navy collar and eye stays
horween cavalier red in vamp and tongue
nickel eyelets with light brown laces
crepe sole
crossed stitched toe

It was 2 1/2 weeks from order to shipment. They were fantastic to work with. Yes, this is my first order but I went to JCrew to try a pair on to ensure fit. We will see how they fit tomorrow though...I did a custom Malseet and a custom Grizzly Boot

So, placed my order a couple days ago, talked with their customer assistance, very helpful and responsive. Curious if anyone else has tried what they are doing for me. Getting the Dawson moc, except with a saddle like on the canoe moc (I didn't really care whether it was a double or single layered saddle, but I think they already have the pattern for the double layer). Only real difference between the two is the chromepak upper (which is 10oz instead of 5-6oz thick) and the default chromepak sole. No problems with doing that, same price as the normal Dawson moc, they said that they'll have to thin the pieces of Chromepak just a little bit to make the saddles, but that it'll come out great.

They also said that if I ordered my normal size, and they come unreasonably large, that they will make me a new, smaller pair at no charge, and if they are unreasonably smaller, then they'll either stretch or remake as well. Makes me think that they are fairly confident that they have their sizing down pat.
