i just dont get rick jackets. the only person they look good on is kunk. they also always look so awkward when zipped up. ive seen/tried on a lot of jackets - julius, ccp, rick, etc - and i feel that out of all the brands rick translates the worst from runway to reality

sorry rfx45 but i think you're the biggest victim of this. way too long bunchy sleeves + awkward too high collar = just not a good look on anyone. i think you'd look infinitely better in julius or even something like toj.

my 'dream' jacket is a julius jut neck in size 4. i tried one on in size 3 and it fit in the chest but was just way too tight in the arms/shoulders. stupid asian sizing.

the long sleeves is part of the whole rick look. personally, i like them worn with out the bunching as seen by that popular rick owens model. i think that guy has freakishly long arms. but when he wears julius (noticeable shorter sleeves) it looks the same

Not that I am trying to justify my purchases but the long sleeves doesn't bother me at all on the RO's. The mollino is actually the only one where you would notice the extra long sleeves the most because it doesn't have the knitted cuffs like the intarsia and bomber. I could easily pull up the sleeves on the intarsia and bomber so that the cuff hits right by the wrist.

The hi-collar, I think that is just subjective, it seems like a love and hate with each person. I personally like them.

As for Julius, if it were easier to get or try on, I might give it a shot but it seems like most of the sizes that goes on sale are size 1 and it is just too small for me. Any other sizes outside of 1 seems pretty rare.

are the lengths different for each season/version? my intarsia (s/s08 i think) sleeves are quite long, wide too i might add. whereas ive seen them worn with less bunching on people which i assume to be similar sized as i.

I can't confirm if the length differs, I don't think it does, but some people just has longer arms than others.

Length is one of the reasons I like RO. Most clothes seem to be made for people under 6 ft.
