Looks almost exactly the same as the +J cotton jacket for spring, just not as good and longer. Same map pockets at least.

I'm in Canada and there's a huge intellectual gap between college students and university students.

^Lots of colleges call themselves universities now though, so it's kind of a moot point. It's just kind of known that there is a list of real schools and if you don't go to one of those you're pretty much in grade 13.

really? which? around here there are a shitload of colleges that are known solely as colleges. That's where the marsupialed kids go, with the exception of the students who are artists.

"University" implies a post-graduate/continuing ed system, whereas a college, a la your standard "liberal arts college," suggests an undergrad-only focus. At least as far as I know. This is, of course, in the USA. Things are different in other places.

In canada colleges offer degrees that require much less critical thinking and much more job specific training. College diplomas are also shorter in length. I believe its the equivalent of community college in the US. Aparently tradespeople make a lot of money but I think it is only in some jobs and locations. I don't know why people slag on college degrees though. I mean sure its sub par intellectually to a university degree but can you honestly say that your job requires any more thought than that provided by a college diploma? Whats completely sad is the private universities in Canada that provide a degree to anyone that will pay the outrageous tuition. For example, canada university west.

Kwantlen now calls itself a university, Simon Fraser always has, Carleton, Trent, Acadia, St. FX, University of Lethbridge, University of Regina, off the top of my head. Second tier schools or below.
