Any thoughts on Eton shirts? I've been buying a bunch of them recently. They have a particular model called TREND which is slim fitting and has a tall spread collar with a double button that fits me very nicely and looks quite fashionable. As an added benefit, these shirts are woven in a way that the fabric doesn't need ironing. I throw them in the washing machine with some woolite on the gently cycle, hang them up, and presto, ready to go. If I feel motivated, a quick once-over with my steamer makes them look perfect. There are some downsides to these shirts. They don't have single needle tailoring, aren't split yoke, don't have gussets, etc. They could do a better job matching patterns. They do have very nice thick mother of pearl buttons, and the fabrics look great. IMHO, the shirts look as good as a Borelli to a casual observer and cost a lot less. And they just happen to fit me a lot better off the rack, too. In fact, they fit me MUCH better than the last run of custom shirts I did at New & Lingwood. Curious if anyone lese has experience with Eton and what their thoughts are. Regards, Montecristo#4

Hmm - I've seen them in stores but never payed any attention. Browsing on Ebay I bumped into this auction with a lengthy text about Eaton, if you are interested. B
