Get Smart,

I tried on some Paul Smith wing tips the other day and also a pair of Paul Smith Triumph boots in black. They were laceups with a zipper on the inside. I couldn't get behind the $640 tag but the shoes were pretty good. I had a good bit of room in the toe in a size 9 UK (I am a 10.5D US).

Those sound like the Daytona boots I have. They are lace up with inside zipper. And yea, there is def more room in the toebox on those boots then most PS.

RXF45...I like the black ones better than the brown ones myself.

I even had a little more than a thumb's width with the shoes on. I think if I sized down 1/2 they wouldn't fit in the rest of the shoe. There's a good chance I'll eventually get a pair and just live with the slight amount of extra room in the toe box.

And I def like the PS dress shoes in black (boots too for that matter) instead of the brown.

Maybe I just need to see the brown ones in person but the dip-dye wash on them is more conspicuous and has some allure. While the dip-dye wash on the black ones is less prominent.

The black is good. You just need the proper pants for them, and those aren't it. If you're going to wear PS shoes I'd say you need some slimmer pants.

, your probably right. It's just those are the pants I had on when I got home and when I tried them on. I didn't bother changing, however I still think it goes well with it. As a whole, I think it will look better. The pants are pretty slim by the thigh area but doesn't really taper down but ti doesn't really flare either.

so RFX, the ultimate question. How did they fit? What size are your nash's and these ones?

My Nash's were a size 8 and it's the same reason I got a size 8 in the Ricards as well. These are "Paul Smith" size 8 not US size 8. As I mentioned before, I wear a size 7 in the Hall's and they fit just right with my wide feet but the Nash were pretty narrow so I had to go a size up. There was a little room in the toe area but not much and it still fit nicely.

The Ricard fit pretty much the same but I feel like a 7.5 would fit as well with less toe room, because if it stretches once broken in, the size 8 might turn out to be too big. Then again, it might not. I guess I'll have to see how it feels once I break it in.

The Ricard and the Starr fit really similar I think. I tried a 1/2 size smaller than my usual on the Ricard and it fit, but felt a little tight. And I've never felt my shoes stretch out to where it got looser, IME

^^^ Hopefully the same goes with these. I figured that if I get an 8 and it is too big or if it gets loose by any chance, I could fit in an insole in it to make more comfortable. I tried putting an insole on the Ricards, just a very thin one layer insole and it made it very tight so as of now, it's better off without one.

RFX45...

Do happen to know how long that 40% sale is going on for? Or is it over now?
