Love the York. It does fit large (in length), so I went with a 8.5 in the York when I am usually a US 10. In width, it is narrow and fits closely at the ankle.

I have the Achilles. It seems that the wax coating effect is gone and my shoes simply look like dark brown suede now. I have worn them maybe 20 times. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I love the shoes though.

I have the Achilles as well, and it never had much of the wax distressing to begin with and doesn't seem to have much now. That is fine with me.

In my experience it does not fit long like the Starrs. It is not on the "fashion last" or whatever they call it. I have a pair of the Dickens boot in 10uk and the York in 10uk is definitely shorter - by almost an inch if memory serves.

How many lasts does PS have? I know the Ricards and Starrs have different lasts. From what I could tell, Starrs are longer and narrower while Ricards are wider and rounder. I guess the Ricards shares the same last as the Nash and Cage. Are the Miller's the same last as the Starrs?

I would like to get a compilation of which lasts PS have and which shoe belong to which, even just the current shoes to make it easier for purchasing purposes.

LAST I (wider/round)
Ricard
Nash
Cage

LAST II (longer/narrower)
Starrs
Miller
Voltaire

If any of those are in incorrect or there are any other lasts, please let me know.

there's too many lasts to keep count

my Pitneys are on a different last than my Simeons which are on a different last than my Bath which are on a different last than Rollins which are different from Marcello which are different from Daytona....

honestly it seems like most every shoe has its own last, but obviously shared last models exist..point being I can randomly grab 10 pairs of PS shoes I have and they'll be on 8 or 9 different lasts

I figured as much.

Is it possible to at least differentiate the shoes with wider and narrower lasts?

That seems decent, where do boots such as the yorks come in roughly.. Last I?

The miller sizing is damn near identical to the starr. The appreciable difference of the last being the fact that the miller has the rounded off end of the toebox, and the starr retains a soft chisel.

I would put the York in the Last I pile.
Maybe along with the Achille?
