No ideas, huh? I just used the 10% yoox code and took a flier on this charcoal grey suit. I don't have a dark grey, the Yoox original was $1128 (so at least $2250 for retail?), it looks like there is a decent waist, trim trousers, and there's little risk.

Edit - I will of course report back once I get it - probably Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

Saw the suit, looks nice. somewhat vshaped, but back and waist look ok. Most interested in fitt and finnish, esp compared to Corneliani or even Borrelli

Thanks Speed PS yoox has realy ODD pictures of EVERYTHING, not realy showing things to their advantage. But as LA-guy said in the Adriano..... thread a couple of days ago, this gives one the posibility to find things that are not known or a "hightly regarded name" in the GENNERAL PUBLIC.

For the price I would hope it to be slightly above Corneliani

I find their stock prices to be somewhere between 1/2 and 1/6 depending on how" known the brand is. IMO a dark blue is more formal than a charcoal ... But you can pull of the charchoal with a subdued tie, a simple white shirt & plain black captoes, and it is slightly more versatile than a dark blue (unless you are a banker

) But in the general public ANNYTHING goes

(I know non of us considder our selves to be "general public") Just my 2c ... Thanks in advance for comparing with Corneliani

I would consider charcoal one step below black.

Sartoria Nervesa used to do Borsalino suits and jackets, so they are/were pretty high quality. But Nervesa is out of business now (since a couple of years i think), probably replaced by some other producer in the same quality range, should be pretty good!

But then again, in a classic wardrobe one would proably not find a Black suit. As this is reserved for formal/gala wear

(As in morning coats & tuxedo's) The black suit came as a result of the genreal public not beeing able to se the difference in a truly BLUE suit. And the fact that a black suit is much easier to have colour mathed, as the rol takes black in a more consequent manner, and the variances are much more difficult to see. There for making the process simpler for the manufacturer ... Speed

Don't go ordering any Borsalino, gentlemen.

My suit arrived today. It is almost all machine sewn, fully fused, and not very nice. How it had the original price is beyond me. What a waste. The material was Loro Piana, and I would rank it with those "Loro Piana" suits you see at Filene's Basement. Maybe worth $200 if the fit was great. It was not.
