The Styleforum preorders for Stephan Schneider AW16 are up!
http://www.styleforummarket.com/stephan-schneider-preorders-1/
Orders taken only until noon February 3, 2016.

This season, we've decided to give our members and followers a chance to get in on the action that we're reporting on from Paris Mens Fashion, which we got back from just earlier this week.

One of the nicest collections that we saw, bridging classic tailoring and designer wear, was that of Stephan Schneider. This season, the inspiration were discarded oil paintings, painted over in blue and black. The colors are correspondingly dark and quiet.

The strength of every Stephan Schneider collection are the textiles, and we've chosen to focus on two of our favorites, a greyish blue wool cashmere fabric, and navy blue melange with a reverse in a blue and red pattern, the effect mirroring that of the inspiration. We have two outerwear pieces for each of these fabrics. Rounding them out is a beautiful navy basketweave coat that is sleek and sharp, and a pair of comfortable pants with a unique and subtle but striking pattern on the front panels. Enjoy.

ALL PREORDERS CLOSE PROMPTLY AT NOON (12 PM) PST FEB 3, 2016. No changes or orders will be taken after that.

You can see the entire selection on the Styleforummarket that we use to organize these preorders, here:

Remember to use the code SCHNEIDER20 for 20% off the preorder deposit. The same 20% discount will given on the remainder before shipment to you.

Though pieces vary in sizing, the model is wearing a size IV for all pieces. He is a small size 48 EU.

Here is the sizing conversion that many retailers use as a general guideline for Stephan Schneider pieces:
III 46 European
IV 48 European
V 50 European
VI 52 European
VII 54 European

The pieces we are offering and the deposit prices follow.

We have 6 unique article x color combinations:

Two versions of the Film Coat:

1) In navy cotton/wool basketweave. 50% preorder deposit is $500. With the discount, it is $400.

For the Thinner - which pic, if any shows: "In the blue with an excellent reverse pattern, the 50% deposit is $467.65, and comes down to $374.11 with the discount." Is it the first pic of a navy colored jacket? What's this "excellent reverse pattern"?

The reverse side of the fabric looke like this:

There, you see both sides of the fabric, though the other picture, of the hood, shows the blue side more true. The reverse side doesn't usually show up on the very slightly marled navy side, but under certain lighting conditions, you can see that there is red in the cloth. We were pretty committed to giving you guys the opportunity to getting some jackets in this very unique cloth. Of all the fabrics we saw, this is the one that most made me think of the inspiration of painted over oil paintings.

Freaking Film coat in navy cotton wool basketweave. Damn.
We decided to do that when we saw the Thinner jacket in it, and then Stephan showed us that he'd actually sampled the coat in that fabric!

all beautiful options. For my style though, that Oil coat in that navy with cool backing fabric is the winner.

It's a solid choice, We really wanted to use that fabric. The original jacket fit a bit too drapey for a lot of guys, so we chose the oil, which has a bit more structure, particularly around he shoulders and neck.

I do like the official LA Guy pick for the Film coat. Color looks very nice and the cut is subtlely different. Is the Film lined? Lining in the sleeves?

I do not remember if the sleeves are lined. The body is partially lined, i.e. what they would call a quarter lining on a suit, in the self fabric, with most of the back open, though.

Great outerwear picks from his new collection. But you didn't choose the hooded oil coat in camel? There're abundant good options for coats in navy, grey and black but hard to find in lighter colors. I get the obvious reasons but one's taste evolves and his wardrobe may enjoy some colors of life too. :)

NMWA is so offering both the thinner and conservation in camel. I find both preorders complimentary to one another as opposed to stacking the same stuff

It's really just a reflection of the differences in color preference. Kyle loves camel. I loves shades of blue and look jaundiced in camel. So...
