I just made a short survey for the U-neck project. If we can get ~25 people people to agree on a U-neck design we're happy with, we can get some awesome tees made. It sounds like they will retail at $125 (so $100, assuming you are a rewards member). Let's do this.

I tried to keep the survey pretty simple, so this can at least be starting point for us.

I don't really know how to ask about neck opening geometry in a useful way without asking for actual width and depth dimensions (which would be a mess), so I just skipped that. Mauro had a U-neck sample made up that he showed off on Snapchat today looking for feedback. It looked pretty close to me, but my feedback was to increase the opening about a half inch all around.

As far as colors, the fabric is naturally a pretty nice white, so that's an option for anyone who wants white. We'll also get a batch dyed, so we need to pick that color. I tried to keep the colors pretty simple since we're going to need to form a consensus.

If you are interested in purchasing a U-neck, fill this out: SURVEY

(It requires a Google sign in so we all just fill it out once, but if that's too much of a pain for people, let me know)

WvG has a snapchat now?? I have enough trouble keeping up with the blog, instagram, and facebook occasionally. I wish everything was posted to all the social media sites.

Thanks for organizing this. I'm surprised Mauro didn't just put together a survey himself. Pretty excited about all the different tee fabric options! I just hope they can get finished during the summer!

can't you adjust the length since it's mto? I would ask Mauro

When I found out you could MTO the chinos (I had always thought MTO was just for the button downs), I had asked Mauro if the tees could also be MTO - and he did say that it was an option. Not sure if he was referring to just the bamboo tees, or this batch with different fabrics.

I am with you there. I get that Mauro wants to market more but each social media vehicle should be used differently to draw more customers of that demographic in, not to isolate others from receiving cool updates.

No problem. Mauro asked me to help organize and get everyone's opinion. I would have been happy to just go with whatever he makes, but being that he's making the U-neck specifically because we've been agitating for it here, I think he'd like to get a sense for what everyone wants.

Sky blue slub cotton picnic shirt (I also have the French blue version of the fabric in a long-sleeve button-down; both are warm-weather favorites on biz-caz occasions)

Just got my news letter.

If I was a medium BD, should I go 40 or 41 in the new sizing? Also, for the linen shirts, is short-sleeve an option?

I think it greatly depends on your yoke/shoulder. I was/am also a M BD but ever so slightly snug across the shoulders. I now get a 42 BD and it fits right across the shoulders (18"). I tried the 41 BD and it was workable, though not as comfortable. I would rather have the chest be a little smaller like the 41 but it's only .5" difference between it and the 42. I need to do MTO to get it exact. Until then, I'll continue to do 42 BD like I did today. Sucker for donegal. And the double linen looked great.
