Just wondering; @LA Guy any word on round 1 GTMOs? Specifically, the Tan Bison ripple boot?
@LA Guy
can we do the same thing as the folks above with the Engineer Boot regarding toe structure? What would we need, 6 people or more? I think there's at least 3 so far including myself who'd get in on it with partial structure.
An update would be appreciated!
Listen, we'll allow writeins for these two cases only. And you will have to vote. Deal is, if there are not enough write ins to do the variant, you forfeit your vote, or you can always buy the original. If you are good with this, I'll allow it.
Same goes for the alternative Gandalf.
That's totally fair. I am insanely appreciative that you are this accommodating (I'm sure everyone else is too).
In the last few hours the Gandalf 2.0 has collected 5 votes, will that be enough to go forward with the variant?
If people actually put their money where there mouth is, there is a distinct possibility, yes. It could also be like the 310 makeup that never are...

Everyone had almost three weeks to make proposals and solidifying specs before going to vote. There was plenty of time to make the appropriate changes to all make-ups. Only now when the voting stage begins people are deciding to make changes.
As Ben Graham said many decades ago: “In the short-term the market is a voting
machine; in the long-run it acts as a weighing machine.” Occasionally, the voting decisions of investors –
amateurs and professionals alike – border on lunacy.
Let the market play out the way it's supposed to where everyone plays by the rules. Right now the Viberg GMTO market is divorced from reality and many of it's investors acting like irrational lunatics.
So, for those people now voting for the variant, there is no guarantee that your makeup will make the top 4, or even 5. I'm allowing these write in votes against my better judgement, but I do want to give you guys a chance. However, the difference is that because you guys DID, as it was piinted out, have a few weeks to speak up and further your cause, your votes will NOT be refunded, whether or not your variant makeups go ahead. If they do not, you may still put your money towards another makeup (and you still get the 2 for 1 credit), but you will NOT be refunded, out of fairness to everyone else in the process who did things in a timely fashion, and to me, because this just makes administering this program so much harder.Great! But I see your point... I'll circle back around and make sure people are on board.
Just to be sure, even after we get approval for the Gandalf 2.0, people will still be able to sign up for this variant?
Guys, there is no need to fight. I have made an on the fly decision (read above) that I feel is fair to everyone. Let's just get back to making cool stuff.I apologize if I have offended, but could you kindly refrain from throwing around veiled insults?
The pull-tab is a detail which I brought up several times during the proposals stage, each time the crowd that weighed in was split roughly down the middle and thus nothing happened. Early in the voting stage, additional users brought up that they hadn't noticed the pull-tab and were disappointed at its inclusion. At this point there was enough dissent for some further discussion to be held. Which has lead us to the variant build of the Gandalf 2.0.
Do I wish we had been able to iron this out prior to the voting stage? Absolutely.
However, now in this stage, some of us feel strongly enough to vote with our money for this variant makeup.
