That wife ended up divorcing me when I was gone adventuring for too long. Women.

******* Fallout 2 was ******* fantastic

Word is that Fallout 3 is excellent, watch a video review. Maybe not as sardonic and ridiculous at times, but excellent. 9/10 or 10/10 to most.

I'm seriously considering this to be my first full price purchase for PS3. Maybe I'll try a demo if it's on PSN.

I'll bite on my own question. I rented this yesterday and stayed up way late playing it.

The game is robust, and there's a lot of quests when you start off. You'll receive quests whose objectives directly clash (right at the beginning, even). Battles are extremely fun with the targeting system, and they can get pretty heated. Little need to level up, as the level cap is 20. And I love the training/character-building mode, its one of the most creative I've seen yet. The inventory system is a bit disorganized, but its a minor complaint.

The wasteland is an amazing environment. There are plenty of things going on, and its extremely easy to get sidetracked. I'm currently on a side quest I found while deviating from a side quest, for example...all while wandering around the wasteland.

Loads of fun. Can't wait to get on it again this weekend.

Is Fable 2 a persistent world MMO or a console game?

If anyone is considering Fallout 3 for PC I'd hold off. I've had numerous freezing issues on a very high end machine, I researched the forums and lots of other people are having this same problem as well as others. I wouldn't risk it until they release their first patch.

Not only that, but it's generally better to wait for the homebrew community to release mods that fix the developers' mistakes for Bethesda games.

I'd post about Fallout 3 but that would cut into play time!

Been playing the Wrath of the Lich King Beta and have to say that the Death Knight introduction quests & events are really really cool. Blizzard hit the nail on the head with them. If you're gonna get the WOTLK expansion you should at least level a DK til they're out of the starting events.

DKs are a pretty cool class too, but not as OP as they seem to be from the outside.

I'll check out Fallout 3 when I upgrade my PC this christmas

I almost bought Fallout 3 yesterday but baulked when I tried to consider whether I would have enough time to play it. I will go for it in a few weeks though.

I played main tank for too damn long so I'll be going DPS focus with my DK. I've been leveling with Blood (it's by far the best, and honestly the most overpowered leveling spec there is) but yesterday I switched over to Frost. While not as effective as a grind build, it's a bit more interactive than Blood and I think is a better PVP spec. I still need to try Unholy, but so far I'm pleased with the class.

Frost always seems to be a survival build. Thanks for tip on Blood. As I two box with a priest (newly reactivated after a 3 year hiatus, and fully PvP'ed epiced now), I'll go Blood, then flip him frost and PvP epic him, then grind the high end dungeons with the dps spec. How many levels does it take to "free" your DK from the beginning quests? What level can I bring my priest in to PL him?

How's the third person perspective in Fallout 3? I'm a huge fan of the first two but FPS style first person gives me motion sickness :\\
