I joined the forum looking for the following formal pullover. Where can I buy one in Australia? I found the image off the Microsoft Windows 10 preview.

Dear Forum,

I am 21 and wear suits often for work (entrepreneur, small business consultant), I enjoy good suits but I am always just buying ones that catch my eye. I now have some time to sit down and ask about what I should be investing in for an new suit. I am right now looking for an all black, fashion forward suit and I am looking to spend around $1,500 or less depending. I am looking for a suit that will impress customers and females and that will keep with time not just a throw away. I am a very slim man being 5'10 and 142 pounds. My suit size is around 36-38R in US or 46-48R in Euro. The latest suit that I looked at was from Prada with a very good fit in a 48R more fashion forward and was selling for 1,318 with tax.

Is this suit a good buy or should I look else where for my specifications?

This well be a great help! I very much want to downsize the amount of cloths I have to only high quality.

Thank you
Rhys Watkins

Prada:

also very slim if in a John Varvatos

but they did not have black in.

Hi Musehead and others,

I have replacement lenses for my RB3296's but now I find they have a strange nut on one of the mounting bolts. I have searched online for a tool to fit it's split-nut style design without luck. I have also approached 4 sunglasses and optometrist outlets and had nothing but blank stares in response.

Are you aware of a tool I can source that will allow me to unbolt the old lenses and replace them?

Welcome to the forum, champs. Might be best to ask in this thread:

Best of luck.

My tailor himself told me to use an online MTM since I can't afford who he goes through, and that he'd be able to correct any minor fit issues.
The online MTM 'corrected' the measurements we sent, adding an inch to my shoulders.
They did not specify why.
My local tailor simply confirmed I need 18" shoulders, and he's never heard of someone doing this to fit someone like me...but he's never worked with someone like me in the past.
Worst case scenario the MTM has to remake it on their dime.

I will certainly check out the tailors thread. Thank you for the advice!
Sounds like a sales guy rather than a tailor to me.

44" chest is not particularly large but a 31" waist is proportionately small in comparison. Certainly in the UK we are seeing more companies offering an "athletic" fit which mirrors the triangular upper body shape you seem to be reporting - though we are three dimensional beings and so simple circumferences alone are insufficient to judge shape. MTM may be the best result for you but you need to ensure their blocks are suitable for your shape.

If a pair of pants comes with cuff buttons for easy cleaning of the inside of the cuff, would this present a problem if the pants needed to be shortened? Could the button ****, which I'm assuming is on the outseam of the pants, land in the wrong place and be visible after alteration?

Not a fan of turn ups and cant say I've ever seen them have a button but live and learn.

Could it? Absolutely if the alteration is done poorly. Assuming how the setup works then it shoudnt have to if the legs arent too tapered and/or the shortening isnt too much

Hello finely dressed people of styleforum,

I've run into a small issue. Purchased a suit which fits fine for the most part, but the sleeves are about 1" long. It's too late to drop it off to the tailor so I was wondering if there are any creative ways to shorten the sleeve temporarily?

My initial thoughts:

1. Flip the suit jacket inside out, fold sleeves at desired length, then iron.

2. Fold sleeves at desired length, safety pin the crap out of it (looks kind of like cuffed sleeves but it's a black suit so not really noticeable)...

Thanks all!
