I am in the process of having a new MTM tuxedo put together that will be my go-to for most semi formal functions. I expect it to get fair use, but I am spending enough on it that I am considering grabbing a second tuxedo for more run-of-the-mill events such as local charity dinners, etc. For the second tuxedo, I am trying to keep the budget to under $500.

I know this sounds like a waste of money, but my wife is pretty involved here in town and we go to like 4-5 dinners every year where I am supposed to wear a tuxedo. Add to it the weddings we go to and I plowed through my $900 Brooks Brothers tuxedo pretty quickly over the past 2-3 years. So I decided to get a nice one made, which I am happy about, but I want to keep that for the more "special" events.

I have a dinner in 3 weeks and my tuxedo will not be done by that time. I can wear my older BB tux, but am tempted to pull the trigger on my ~$500 idea and have been looking around online. The slim-fit traveler fro Jos Bank seems like an option, especially when on sale for around ~$350, but I also wanted to see if anyone had ever heard of The Dessy Group. I had never heard of them before, and they popped up in a Google search. Looks like they make wedding stuff sold at bridal shops, etc. Probably not very good quality, but was curious if someone had ever tried it out and thought it would be a decent option for a tier 2 tuxedo. I can drop a link, but I don't want to look like a spammer.

TL;DR - want a burner tuxedo to wear to events with higher likelihood of spills, etc. This would be a 2nd tuxedo, not my "good" tuxedo. Is The Dessy Group pure trash? I've never heard of them.

Thanks for any input.
