I don't think I've ever been in a full-on fist fight. Some confrontations and the like, but never anything serious.

Nothing meaningful -- some one-punch each stuff when I was younger and the occasional harmless shoving match.

My problem is that I cannot witness a fight without trying to break it up. That is going to seriously cost me one day, I am sure ...

Anyway, share your experience if you please.

It sounds like you are very immature and haven't grown up yet. Actions like that will get you killed, and I can't exactly say you wouldn't deserve it.

No true scuffles or fights since early high school. I almost got into it with some punk gangster wannabe at WalMart last night though, when he stared me down when I walked by, I kept full eye contact on him, and then called him out in front of his girl right when I walked in front of him. I kept a level head and he ended up backing down.

When you carry, you can't afford the liability of getting into a fight.

EG1 - Yes, you REALLY should work on that. Jumping into a fight that's not yours is asking for trouble.

Who's the douchebag?

I didn't do anything to get kicked out of the party. I was standing there and they grabbed me randomly and tried to push me around. Also they were being very racist regarding my being an Asian.

Nonetheless it's never a good idea to start a fight, particualrly with a weapon. A bottle can get you armed assault, can't it?

You should have seen appleby before it went co-ed. My grade 4 class was like lord of the flies. we used to have wars in the forest and brawls in the locker room between the two camps.

Yeah, just take off next time, man. If the party is in your place or a friend's, you can take some action towards dicks. But if it's some dude who's probably got 50 of his friends to back him up, you're better off leaving.

Next time you see him, apologize even though it wasn't your fault, buy him a shot, and you'll have a new friend and an in at the next party. College kids are like that.

I think I was around 14. Anyway, these two kids were making fun of my mom. So I punched one in the face, and put the other in a head lock.

I haven't gotten into a fight since then, but I've come close.

I was in one a few weeks ago. Someone broke it up when I started swinging back. Have the awareness and muscle memory to swing back, after you have realized someone has just started a fight w/ you. Keep your left hand high to guard against their right hand.

I have seen what damage a bottle can do, and bringing two looking for a fight after a hostile situation has all but resolved itself is more offensively thuggish than anything you've described the "frat guys" doing. Not to mention that if you found the fratties intolerant or rude, after you assaulted one of them with what could possibly be found to be a deadly weapon (check the case law), you might be especially offended when you see what a prison population is like.

To answer the question, though, yes, I have been in a few fights, though not for years. I regret each and every one of them.

Fights....I've been lucky considering my comrades at arms have been stabbed, had a bat broken over his head, etc.
