Just stumbled across Darc Mind. Enjoying it so far. Great oldschool feeling. Sadly, they haven't released an album since '06.

Get Ready: Definitive Performances 1965-1972 [DVD] - The Temptations by Universal Music (2006)...

It's fun to watch this oldie, especially seeing where the Detroit sound has come in almost 50 years.

Cheers,

They also have an excellent, if beardy, sense of style and are very good live!

I've been listening to lots of Jaco Pastorius lately. (I am a bass player.) The bass part on the live version of this is just amazing, quite a bit better than on the record.

I saw Jaco do his "Bionic Basplayer" routine with Weather Report when they played in Sydney in 1978 great concert summed up perfectly on Weather Report 8.30.

Currently listening to Swiss Movement Eddie Harris & Les McCann

The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Their Satanic Majesties' Second Request is an especially great album.
Roy Loney & The Phantom Movers.
The Flamin' Groovies.

Miles Davis--Speak. It's amazing how many hostile comments there are on the youtube page. (Also, the audience didn't seem to appreciate the sounds they heard.) Anyway, this has been in my head a lot lately.

Miles was and always will be a mad, bad-ass, f'g genius! Seems like most of the posts though are just critiquing the audience for being lame (deservedly). Anyway... Love the Miles! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
