I personally like Air Force 1's. As far as staying fashionable without looking too urban what would be the best bet as far as a shoe like that is concerned. Are all white air forces fine with jeans? Anyone have any other suggestions for athletic type shoes to wear with jeans? Also if you can wear air forces, dunks, etc with color what colors are fine or are any off limits? I'm in college and am a basketball player but I dress very nice. With playing sports all my life I've always liked wearing sneakers when I'm dressing casual unless I'm wearing khakis. I'm actually pretty casual with khakis as well as I wear Mocs (tod's). Most of my jeans that I wear are unwashed selvage of some kind if that helps with suggestions

i think you are looking for a forum like niketalk.com

this forum isn't into what you seem to be looking for. here we tend to dress in fitted jeans, and slim profile shoes (nothing chunky like af1s or dunks). to get a sense of what this forum is like and if it fits your style, visit the "what are you wearing now" thread pinned at the top of the forum.

I've gone off true white AF1 highs recently... far too many ******* kids round here rock them with skinny jeans, which makes me glad to own my white Skytops instead.

In the battle of the retro Nikes though, Blazer and Jordan I highs **** all over AF1s and Dunks.

I have two pairs of Jordan 1 highs. I usually wear skinnier looking shoes over the "clunkers" but I can pull the af1's off seeing as I'm a bball player and I wear skinny jeans so I don't know where the guy at the top was coming from telling me to go somewhere else.
THe AF1's also to me seem to be a lot more comfortable than the other sneakers people wear with jeans.

Also I don't know what in the world a Nike Blazer is...I might would if I saw them and just didn't know they were called that but I've seriously never heard of a Nike blazer.

I bought some white af1's last night and wore them with my rb6's today and got a few compliments.

Blazers are, to my knowledge, the first ever Nike basketball shoe. Not sure if Bruins predate them, they're both from around 1972/73 I think.

So what the hell are Nike Stars if not a fabric/suede version of Blazers? Or is it just that they have different soles? Whatever, there needs to be more Star reissues, the gum soles are so awesome.

If they'd done those CPs in black/silver rather than black/gold I'd have been all over them like a rash.

I did some reading, and it turns out that contrary to what Westside said, Blazers were originally leather and suede with canvas models coming later in the 70s.

Useless information for the day is now over.
