While I really appreciate that people post here pictures of their boots, I'd love if they were accompanied by some thoughts, like what's good or bad about them, which model is their favourite, etc.

For example in the last set of pictures, how do the Meermin compare to the Peal? Any noticeable difference between Horween and non-Horween shell?

I actually just picked up both shells in the last week. Peal are new, meermin slightly used.
So far, the Peal are real nice and oily and quite stiff so far. They fit me a hair big so I am going to experiment with some insoles. The meermin were a little dry when I got them but I gave them some love today and they are starting to come along "glow" wise
Both have/probably will have some great patina. After the tlc to the meermin I am starting to love the cognac/cherry look to them. They shell itself feels a little thinner compared to the Peal but has the lining sewn in to firm things up.
Everything so far is how I read online. The horween is nice and full of oils while the meermin was a little dry (or not as oily as the horween would probably be a better way to describe it)
So far Im leaning meermin just for that unique color. And apparently the meermin is japanese sourced shell.

How did you size the C&J? Is it a 325 last like it's calf counter part?

Those are Somet from Blue in Green. About 14 months in with one soak and one wash. Overdue for second wash

I will be in NY in two weeks may have to kop? So far all I have is a pair of eternals and I will only buy at their brick and mortar to have the alterations done on site.

Also Galway photo as to remain in compliance.

Hit me up before you go. I'll give you a few suggestions. Mild obsession with some Full Counts from there

Now that spring and soon summer are upon us, even though I received an inch of Snow yesterday, please post any great clearance deals people find for boots over the upcoming months.

Me? I actually have no idea what last it is. No info on the brooks brothers website and I believe that it is a rebranded Harlech?? Which means it would be the 341 last?
Half the reviews on the bb site said true fit, the other half said 1/2 size down. I usually put some sort of arch support in so I'll see if that helps. Otherwise I'll exchange

It looks like a cordovan coniston but maybe the harlech is just a cordovan coniston? I went with my barrie size on the 325 not sure if this is correct but currently my boots are stuck on customs so wait I shall.

Did some more reading and found someone mentioning that they are on the 240 last which is exclusive to Peal & Co label.

^lools like my conistons will be a little big then. Maybe an insole will be in order. Crazy as I have never worn a 7.5 in anything to date. However sizing is always an adventure with internet purchases! :embar:

@rnguy001what do you brannock?

I've been lurking in this thread since its beginning, and the quality of the boots posted has been amazing. It is a serious buyer's guide of awesomeness.

I am slowly growing a small collection of boots, with a recent AE Dundee acquisition that has sparked a desire for either a shell tanker or service boot once the weather turns cold again.

1000

AE chili Shaker Heights, oxblood Dalton, burgundy Dundee

The Shaker Heights were supremely comfortable out of the box. The Daltons are similarly comfortable, and they receive more compliments than any other footwear I own due to the color. The Dundee pair is still a bit stiff, but I have read that they can take a bit to properly break in, so I wear them whenever I can.

Again, thanks to all for a great thread and I hope the weekend is finding everyone well.
