SOTE: Aventus. It's hard to evaluate this without taking being biased by the hype and by all the backlash against the hype. But I think it really does deserve a lot of the good reviews it's gotten.

I know - it's really hard to stomach the cult that has surrounded this and thus I have formed a strong push-back on Aventus.

I hate the hype surrounding it, but I really like the stuff. I just finished a bottle yesterday. Resisting taking a trip to Neimans for more.

I'm generally anti-Creed, but find that they have done a few scents very well.

Today: Antaeus, because it's Friday. But I don't think the young lady is a fan. frown.gif

Yesterday, the Creed lady mixed Aventus and Royal Oud. Have to say it certainly smelled interesting.

Those of you who like gardenias should check out the new release. Its rather pleasant.

Glad to see you posting about your samples again. It always gives me food for thought.

Pre-shower: Memo Luxor Oud (The Oud of the Pharaohs). This has to be the most comically misnamed scent in history. Unless the oud of the pharaohs really was a red berry fruity floral. I really like Memo, but this is odd.

SOTD: Fils de Dieu du Riz et des Agrumes

I forgot to add this tidbit I got from the lady at the Saks Clive Christian counter:

"You should spray this on. Maybe with this, next time the ladies will give you more than a hug [surreptitious wink]"

Nice! Enjoy

Dzing! today. Again. I am really thankful you guys weighed in last time I was deciding whether I should get it or Méchant Loup. It really is something. I might order ML next spring, though.

I am also wearing Diptyque: Philosykos on my wrist for the first time. Green and with prominent fig notes, very creamy.
