Yes, if you're talking UK prices, but Tricker's aren't seen too often in the U.S. Amazon.com is selling two styles of "Tricker's for Ted Baker" for $800.

I wonder what collection the STP Tricker's are from. Pediwear offers the "Country" collection for about $375 U.S., while the "Corniche" line is a good bit less expensive.

Fairly certain the STP version is the same as this:

http://www.pediwear.co.uk/detail.php?stock_ID=164

Pattern, medallion, eyelets and sole details all appear to match.

Thanks for that info NoVaguy. I was about to buy them from STP but the sole killed it for me.

I think the soles are the same - STP says they're "Commando tread outsole by Dainite of England", and pediwear says "Commando Soles". The leather might be a different grade, though.

I love the shoes, but those soles look to be designed with mucking out stalls in the English countryside in mind.

Now that I look again, I think you might be right. I was thinking Tricker's had two types of Commando soles, but maybe not.

Here's an update on the Tricker's. In fact, they are from the Corniche collection, which means that the price STP has identified as the retail price is far, far off. At 150 pounds (127 without VAT), these can be had for 250 US shipped from pediware, nothing like the $640 they have listed as the retail price, or even the $380 they have listed as the current "discounted" price. I will unfortunately be returning these in the morning.

well, keep in mind that pediwear is discounted from the high street price, which is probably another 20 or 30 pounds over that.

and you're also supposed to pay the duty on the pediwear shoes, and may get assessed that as well if you order through pediwear.

I already returned mine to STP yesterday. Not worth the price IMO.

Regards.

shoesinternational.co.uk has the same price listed. In any case, there's no way that the retail price they have listed is correct, or that the current discounted price ($380) is actually a discount at all.

To their credit, when I spoke to them about this, they were very concerned (I've alwasy found that STP has very good customer service)--we'll see if there's any action in the future.

Translation: They overpaid for them and are going to go smack around their vendor

shoesinternational.co.uk is pediwear.co.uk, and should have the same prices.
