Problematic Shoes (help!)

Hey!

So, first off, let me just say that I'm hardly an expert on fashion/style, but I'm learning.

Now, onto the REAL issue...

I got these red Pumas as a gift, and I absolutely love them. (I can't seem to find any pictures of them on the internet though...) The basic idea, though, is that they are red/white/black, and have a little tiny ferrari logo on the side, then the puma logo on the toe.

However, I don't know what I should wear them with. I was thinking dark grey jeans or black casual slacks (

) and I didn't have any ideas on the shirt, besides a black button down if I went with the black pants....Any help is greatly appreciated!

PS:
I dunno if it'll help, but I've got a slender/slim build. About 5'10-11 and 150.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like futurecats. I wear my beige ones with washed jeans, beige/brown cords.

Red screams attention so the rest of your outfit should be slightly muted, or else you have conflicting interests =)

I think this is one of those things that really is 'make it or break it' depending on how your personality shows through your style. Someone wearing a plain white tee, some jeans, and red trainers, can be very casual, while they can also look a bit uneven or douchebaggy almost with a bright red attention grabber.

So... post a pic I suppose.

I was unable to find any pictures of exactly them, and I am sans digital camera for the time being, so its these:

But the puma stripe and puma cat are both white. Other than that its essentially the same...called "Trionfo Lo II" and the colors are "New Team Red-White," according to the box.

Thanks for the help so far!

They look really sporty... a runner shoe. So I suppose it'd be a bit off if you wore that with something too casual. I am not very fond of that type of shoe but it does remind me of a Nike Air Max 180.

Those are seriously attention grabbing. Just wear a subtle track jacket and dark jeans.

Yes, they are motorsport shoes. So, I've got the dark jeans thing down, that's kinda what I was thinking...but a track jacket doesn't work in the >95 degree summer weather where I am...any other suggestions?

Okay, so I did a dark, straight cut pair of BDG jeans and an off white puma polo (the puma cat is black on the shirt).

Do the socks I wear matter? I was just thinking black, but I'm no authority.

You are going to wear your red Puma shoes with an off-white Puma polo?

I recommend a non-branded polo that fits you properly.

eh...I don't really know what kind of white it is.

Is it a faux-pas to wear two of the same brand in one outfit?
