Bought 2 slim fit shirts, both L and XL. Unsure of which fits the best

I just bought 2 pair of slim fit shirts. Both a size L and a size XL. I am now really unsure which one fits the best. One of them feels tight while the other one feels like I am wearing a tent.

Are there any "tests" that I can do to know which one of them is the right one? Like pull my arms forward and if something gets too loose/too tight its either too big or too small.

I saw on some site that if you can pull your shirt more than 3-4" away from your body it's too big. I could not with the L size, but with the XL size I could
I'll try to upload pictures aswell. But how should I take them so you can decide? Standing straight with a picture infront seems like its not enough, no?

Thanks

Now shirt #1 size L. I guess this one's really too small. I am not anywhere near being flexible in it and whenever I raise my arms (which I can't even raise fully) the shirt rolls up and I have to tuck it down again. So the question is, is the XL too large and do I have to send both back to the store?

I just think that if I was just a little bit smaller this size L would be perfect :(

I'll throw in the blue shirts aswell.

First 3 are L size, rest XL. I feel like the L fits OK here. XL feels big.

XL

Arms feel a bit long here. Read that you should have it go down to your wrist. It's a bit into the palm. I tried to inspect that on the second last picture hehe:D

Bump :D

Other sources told me that both sizes of the light shirt are crap. Too tight on arms on L, and too big chest on XL..

I agree with other sources - light shirt are crap.

Blue L seems to be ok. If you ever are going to wear them tucked into your pants I suggest you try to tuck them in now and see if you feel comfortable and there is no excess material in the waist line.

Aight, lights are going back!

1 guy told me "XL is better than L for blue" without giving any real argument. But what I can think of is the fact that it's really tight over the arms. But I think the torso on L is perfect, no?

I'll try that :)

You are an XL in whatever brand this is. If you feel it is too roomy in the chest (doesn't appear to be), you can always have it altered.

Alright!
WHy XL? It seems that the L fits better, or is it just too tight? I liked how L hugged my body and felt good. XL is still "tight"

Because the L makes you look like a stuffed sausage (skin-tight arms, buckling placket, pulling buttons). As I said, you can alter the XL where you think it is too large, but based on the pictures I'd pay $10 to get the waist nipped or darted and be done with it.

Aight thanks! These are the things I really want to know when choosing shirts :)

I'll keep the XL blue and send the L back along with the light shirts.

Thanks everyone for helping out
