But you live in Chi, you must be swimming in GI BCBS. Its difficult for me to believe you havent seen it till now.

Its okay its a little thick for my liking. I much prefer a stone RIS. But Cherry Rye was very good.

Nah, that stuff gets hard to find far away from release.

At release it is pretty available, but I have no idea where you could buy a bottle of it now. There's a store kind of in the ghetto that had a few 4-packs of 12oz bottles maybe 6 months ago...that's the last time I saw it.

Yeah, you'd be surprised how hard it can be to get. I also tend to drink beer more when I go out than staying at home, and when it appears at a bar or restaurant, it gets consumed quickly.

Well...when I was there in january or december (I think), they also had some packs of 2011 christmas ale*. So they might still have it.

Kenwood liquors on 88th and stony.

*And having consumed several bottles of this year's (2012) christmas ale, I can say that 2011 was a superior vintage.

It stuck around mass for over a month because I assume the price tag of 7 a bottle seemed a bit steep.

Where'd you get that De Cam bottle? Farnum Hill makes from great cider, but you'll find it very dry because they only use champagne yeasts...

Ardsley decicco's. never bad Farnum hill before so I'm pretty excited to try it. A new shop opened up near me with a great cider selection. They had a bunch of etienne dupont I'd love to try

Odd because De Cam actually doesn't distribute to the US, so nice score. Cider is my new thing, if you ever get a chance to try anything from Virtue, you won't be disappointed...

I know this was an old post but I have to agree about the Lagunitas WTF. I bought a bottle of it this weekend for drinking while laying in the hammock. Very disappointed. Much too malty.

I remember this post. I was sitting on my porch back when I still lived in Richmond. About 2 years ago.
