this is great but shoes are a weak choice imo. any kind of boot or derby would be better

I'm a little stumped in terms of footwear. I'd normally wear boots, but the length of the pants makes it a little difficult. I like the derbies idea, but I'm kind of at a loss in terms of socks. I find no-show socks to be really uncomfortable and they never stay in place, but I don't really want to show any sock.

Also, the Geller pants are more of a try-on...I haven't decided whether to keep or return them at this point. Having a full Richard suit is kinda tempting, but IDK how often I'd wear the pants IRL.

I think slim boots could look really cool with the short pants. There was a lot of it in the most recent season. The only problem I see is that the hem is so tight it might not get the same effect.

On the other hand I don't mind the CP's at all, I think they fit the sportiness of the pants well.

Yeah, I agree. Boots/derbies would work, but sneaks fit the vibe better. Some slip-ons might be pretty sweet.

Looks like there are three looks with the Richard pants from the F/W '14 show, two with sneakers and one with boots (and all with ridiculous hats). Looks like they all have tall-ish socks that take up the real estate between the hem of the pants and the top of the shoe.

synth looks like he's about to put some pine through a bandsaw right now

Not used to cuffing jeans, but always struggle with appropriate length for different types of shoes. Just got these dessert boots. Light gray suede. Thoughts?

I guess...True to your usual euro size, maybe? In SF lingo, one down from your gat size. I'm an 11.5, a 44 feels good. Sole construction appears solid, but the uppers aren't great. They came with a loose it on the inside, and I already have some threads coming loose, insoles peeling up, etc.
