Barker Professional vs. Loake 1880

I'm not really a fan of the pinking on the Barker. It's just sort of seems like it doesn't belong on a black cap toe balmoral. I'd definitely get the Loake if it has to be one of those two.

I own 3 pairs of Loakes from the 1880 collection, and 2 pairs of Barker professional's. I have to say that I prefer the Barker shoes more - they seem to be of a better quality (leather, construction). Although I have to say that the Aldwych model is pretty good (I own it).

If I were you I'd go for Aldwych and as your 2nd black cap toe oxford I'd get the Barker. Then you can judge for yourself.
