Admittedly I would laugh out loud if I saw this guy on the street in a big city, but at least as a purely theoretical exercise his look has some visual interest. He's essentially just doing all he can to dress down a suit. The lack of collarstays is a deliberate choice because he doesn't want to look buttoned down -- just like the shades, the frivolous pocket square, the loafers, etc.

Frankly, he has a point -- suits and ties don't have to be hyper-CBD. They can be fun too.

^ There was no room for it in his jeans.

In my view Sartorialist plays to New Yorkers. I can't imagine most of the men's clothes he likes ever being worn anywhere else except maybe parts of California. That being said I enjoy the blog and look at it daily.

The pose and women's jeans he's wearing totally reminds me of Ms. Garrison

I really do not mind this suit at all. Personally, I would not wear it the same way that he is wearing it, but I do not dislike it.

I do not think there is anything "wrong" with it.

I had a blog a while back; but, I realized that I hate people and didn't like approaching strangers.
What I find more atrocious is that vulgar NYSocialDiary with its fawning pictures and hideously illiterate writing.

Burning it would be a kind release. There is nothing good about save possibly the cloth which we cannot feel: That said the pattern is dreadful.

Yeah, I'm not really down with brown when it is hot out, I burn up just thinking about it. I think it would help the suit a lot if he wore a lighter color suede like gray or powder blue, at least it wouldn't make me sweat.

Aside from the super wide peak lapel, which I might change to a more standard notch with a medium gorge, I think he looks pretty damn good all in all.

It is hard to tell since there isn't a full body shot but I think the pants do look pulled up a little too high.

Unlike many on here, I love the shirt collar. It seems too busy with the peak lapel, though, but I think on a notched lapel it would work better.
