I know that suit is from your former maker...are they cheaper than B&T? If so, I can't see why you would ever leave them...to hell with variety when something fits that well.

SF, for as long as I have been here, has had a wide rage of fits that are appreciated by the general public. I have never understood why some people claim that SFers only like one specific style. Its a fallacy.

And yes, from my random excursions into older WAYWRN's I glean two things.
On average, posters these days are better dressed.
On average, there is a fairly wide range of tastes represented at any given time. Well, fairly wide within an admittedly restrictive CM parameter.

This. There's exists a loosely defined set of rules and stylistic cues around which peeps tend to operate, which we semi-objectively recognize as being in "good taste". Those who dress outside these parameters tend to either be scorned for their failure, or praised for pulling it off and flying a little higher than the localized flock.
(Passing thought: sometimes an interesting failure is more compelling than a formulaic success)

You know what would be interesting in this thread is for some of the unofficial and official curators and seasoned commentators to post fits that didn't make the cut but which they think is worthy of consideration/discussion. I trust Stitchy/Clags and others to do this. Such posts would have to be contributed along with a brief rationale. I think 20 thumbs is a good practical cut-off but I've seen good fits miss the cuts that I think worthy of discussion; or interesting fits that don't work but make a good point.
Of course, one could start a thread: "I should have made the 20 thumb minimum thread and here's why...." but you might imagine what a disaster that would be.

Ill let Clags rule, but I do see tge value there. I think some posts just get buried or are posted on slow days, but it would be interesting so see why people perhaps did not like a fit that seems quite likable.
Maybe there could be a limit of one or two honorable mentions that get posted with each batch of 20+ fits - that way you can keep the volume down and not have the thread turn into either vote petitioning or one off fit pics constantly.
And I think whoever posts the honorable mentions should exclude their own fits from eligibility.
