Hello
I have tried searching and reading a lot of links/thread before joining here
Yes, I have got a lot of info already but i want some more of specifics of my clothing colors.

Here is what i have planned for a ceremony wedding of a friend (no i am not a bestman or any very important person)

1) Suit- Light to Medium Grey with white pinstripes (small spaced)
I have enough of black & brown wear. Dont like blue much . Lately i heard a lot of versatility of Grey and got one AND i LOVE STRIPES (be it shirts, suit or even my wallpaper :p )
I preferred large spaced stripes but didnt get one in branded outlets. Didn't have time left to make a bespoke suit (may be next time)

2) Shirt-Solid White Cotten with F.Cuffs (nice intricate woven pattern)
I love french cuffs and barrels cuffs are getting in minority in my wardrobe with time.
Its a very nice fabric with normal (non fancy) pearl buttons.

3) C.Links- Golden colored with crystals or Simple solid patterned Chrome plated
I am open to change here and have a good collection.

4) Tie - Small rectangular block pattern of yellow & golden mustard
Its a nice tie and satin/combo IMO (sorry i am bad at detecting fabric nature sometimes). I am open to change here with Skyblue (satin IMO) one

5) PS- Solid Mustard Golden with yellow border
I am open to change here and have a good collection of PS .Mainly Satin and silk(rarely wear cotton; have one in my trouser pocket always anyway)
PS is more of a non-functional aesthetic accessory only for me except when its made of cotton

6) Shoes- Medium Tan (Brown)
I read a lot about grey suit and shoe color and i tell you even good sources online are full of contradictions , leave the online views of people (even so called senior ones). spent some 3 hours 1 day reading/searching about it.
Brown is generally all fine and goes well with dark grey
In this case it light to medium grey. Issue being i cant call the color either.Rarely good sources have advised brown with light grey

They are derby's. I dont like oxfords at all.(sorry oxford lovers) I tried them and to me they looked nice as grey suit with all the above is mellow enough and all accessories like tie /ps/C.links etc seem to be the focus

->Have a thread about that

7) Belt - Reddish-Cherry brown
Pictured in above thread itself. Looked fine to me though with shoes

8) Socks - Grey
same as Trousers. I prefer same continuity when shoes are taken off. Due to some reason i have to take off shoes often, personal reasons /ceremony/event related

I have pictures ready, of all of these, with someone of my size, wearing them all
But before posting wanna know the views of people who wear formal wear a lot. Dont want them to be biased after seeing images

Personally, i am not a newbie to suits but not a pro either.
I decide suit characters & accessory color and stuff in the following order of Importance/Match
First and Foremost "Suit" Then > Shirt > Shoes ( Socks & Belt) > Tie >PS > Cuff Links> Miscellaneous (Lapel Pin, Watch, Tie Knots, Tie pin/tacs, etc)

Yes, to me, the above looks fine to good (if not mirror cracking)
(please dont write that "you wear it if you like it" I know , i believe that statement but that doesnt solve the purpose of thread i.e. know views of others)

Thanks in advance
I know time of everyone is precious
:)

Pin stripes signal a business-oriented suit. Go with a solid or glen check instead.

I am also thinking about a nice sky blue tie and PS (solid shiny satin) instead of above golden yellow

That color combination doesn't look too bad, but does your suit fit you better than it does that guy? You said that wasn't you, right?

""doesn't look too bad" was not what i was expecting ..lol
Anyway, yes thats not me. Due to some reason (related to physical disability) i was not wearing it that time. But be assured that guy and me are very close relatives ( a guess -> 2 sperms ..lol )
and have almost same fittings

Anything else/advise? I am still thinking about changing tie/ps combination to Blue one? would it be better?

The pants are too long. Shorten them. Blue tie would be nicer. Burn the yellow pocket square. Use white. Tie your shoes. Button your jacket. Take your hands out of your pockets.

too long pants...saw that coming but do you still think there is anything more than half inch to be trimmed, looking at side pose (first image) ?
Tie your shoes ....gr8 advise (u surely missed reading my whole posts...yeah i know they are long, No problem :)
Button your jacket .... well i asked that model to unbutton to show belt
Take hand out.... lol.. surely not gonna ever put hands into my pockets :)

Sky Blue Tie +White PS ... hmm ..sounds good (but issue is the ceremony to be attended needs us to wear some headgear ..either golden/yellow or white. Adding white PS would add too much white, aint it? (Shirt+PS +Headgear) and yes , so will be if headgear is either golden :(

Should i go for some different color altogether? if yes, which ones?

interesting . Keep them coming guys

2 things

1)Going with blue tie would mean about 5 wide variety of colors on me
Grey suit
Tan shoes
Blue Tie
White shirt
White(OK)/Golden(another color) headgear

Is adding that many colors fine, i am not sure (actually dont think so). I always feel 3 (or max 4 colors ) are enough

2) What color socks to wear? I think grey socks approximating suit color would be fine. I dont believe in matching with shoes. kindly provide me some good links if its considered otherwise

Thanks in advance

Adding safe colours like grey/blue/tan in that mix isn't a big problem. White is not considered an "extra colour".

I also suggest blazing through "rock your socks": http://www.styleforum.net/t/72565/rock-your-socks-show-your-sock-shoe-pant-combos/17550

Just scroll scroll scroll until you see some of the colours that you yourself are considering a part of your wardrobe, and see if the feedback has been good on the combo.

For pockets squares a great rule of thumb is: The PS should have a base colour and also a hint of the same collour as the tie...

And the bulletproof: hand rolled white linen in a simple fold.

Examples that I searched for for 10 minutes in WAYWRN:
