That does not look like it'd qualify.

John Doe. It's a good fit. Grab the artificially darkened version and submit it as your own

ZOMG NOW ITS A SUIT!

Thank you. I'm having my morning coffee and this started my day very nicely.

[...]

Wear a jacket that is visibly lighter than your trousers. It can be patterned or plain, I don't care as long as the trousers as darker than jacket.

Fits from this week will be allowed [...]

Would you entertain a question from relative newcomer about protocol?

Is it the case that anything which conforms to the rules quoted above would be welcome? Are there any unwritten rules or conventions associated with the Friday Challenge which might further constrain entries? For example, I’m toying with the idea of doing something a bit more casual than seems to be typical. Would that be permitted, or would it earn me a late night visit from the SF Re-education Team?

Many thanks.

Cheers,

Ac

I think people have submitted fits without, say, ties and they have been allowed to enter. Anyway, in the end I have dictatorial powers this week and I am open to bribes..... :smarmy:

I toyed with a grays fit inspired by one from RedDevil a little while ago, but given the frigid temperatures, I opted for the warmth of cashmere. The jacket is not light, but certainly lighter than the chocolate brown flannels.

Jacket: Caruso for Barneys pure cashmere
Shirt: Barba Napoli
Tie: Brooks Brothers silk knit
Pants: Loro Piana wool/cashmere
Shoes: AE MacNeil shell

Might try again with something a little different tomorrow, but for now:

EDIT - going to go with a different outfit as my official entry (see later in the thread), so ignore the pic below when compiling the poll, Pingson! :)

Surprised to see so few light grey SCs so far, I would have expected the majority to go that route. This contest looks like it could be a good inspiration source for future fits......

Blue Shirt, despite the picture making it look purple. Tie is in fact Purple. I may keep this as my entry, we'll see. Here's todays:

Two different cameras, sorry.

Knowing what we know about SF groupthink, it should have been expected that gray SCs are being left behind.

Funny. That's what my top half was supposed to be, but I'd left it at the office, so it wasn't available to me while dressing/doing pics.
