@mossrockss nothing to do with the fit cuz it looks good, just wondering because i saw your listing of size 40 prl. i am a 42 chest myself and i found the nmwa measurements of the 52 a touch too small and short, so sizing up seems necessary in eidos.

Sizing up is necessary... I have pictures I'll bring in when I get the chance

I agree with sizing up. All my Eidos are 48S but my ring and Formosa are 46.

@tonio028 if it's any consolation, I've ordered Eidos button-up shirts in size L from Haberdash and they were all marked as size 42 on the tags.

The size medium button-up shirt I ordered from Haberdash was labeled size 40/15.75.

I am baffled as to how Eidos runs TTS for me. I barely fit into a 38 in brands that are even slightly slim (newer RL, Epaulet, etc.) but I am consistently a 38 in Eidos. Odd...

TTS for me as well, though can also wear a long

If you look at the measurements of that PRL I have for sale, it measures more like a 42 or slim 44. Might be mislabeled. Who knows.

Weird. I ordered 52, which I would consider my size in any brand (42US that is).

The first Eidos piece I bought was a polo last summer, size M. Here's a pic of me in it.

Me too, y'all. In a couple weeks when I visit Haymakers in nashville I'm interested to try on the other cuts of jackets, since my only experience is this NMWA model (which they said they lengthened), and I almost always order an L nowadays.

I would say definitely stay TTS in Eidos, at least for the Bloomingdales model

Yeah Eidos is definitely tts for me, at least compared to other European brands. I'm a 54r in Eidos, LBM 1911, and Boglioli, with Eidos being the least slim/tight of the bunch (which I like).

As a general rule of thumb (and 1000% for the tipo) I strongly suggest buying your normal size if you are shopping online for Eidos and cannot try it on. I go out of my way to make sure that the collection is on the closer to the body but not skinny and tight side of things. This can be a little unpredictable with our washed garments as every fabric shrinks slightly differently and Italy is allergic to prewashing fabrics to control shrinkage (it is seemingly an epidemic that I've yet to find a fool proof cure for).

I agree to that but my proportions are very off. I am wider in the chest and shoulders so I tried on a 36 and it was just too tight for my liking. Now I don't think my comparison is apples to apples. My Eidos pieces have more structure in the shoulders than my ring and Formosa therefore to accommodate my shoulders I need to size up.

Echoes my experience as well for tailoring, if you have more mass in the shoulders and chest. Though there is a chance that the shoulders might extend out and not be optimal.

I'm so bummed nobody carries a 52 short. Hopefully MTM will fix things for me.
