^ I'm game for purple as well. Have it on my copper suede Meermin double monks and it rocks. Navy and dark green are also sweet. Personally would take burnt orange if I got to choose.

I'm in on the dark brown chukka as well. I too don't care much about the sole type or the lining color. I just need a dress-up, dress-down, beat-'em-up-a-bit chukka. I think this darker shade will be perfect for khakis, medium grey trousers, and raw denim alike. Also, the last should be a nice balance between office and weekend.

I've been craving such a boot for years; I'm excited to see it finally happening. Thanks Steve!

my thoughts exactly on the boot; the more i think about it, the more wear i can imagine myself getting out of it. pretty pumped for this puppy

as for sole, not to beat a dead horse or anything, but i think single leather is the way to go. since this is a suede boot (and thus will probably tend to stay in the closet more when the weather sucks), i don't think we need to go dainite. and i agree that double leather would be too stiff.

steve -- what are the edge options? i'm not too familiar with that part of the game

Question on fitment .. on rain last I wear 10.5 UK very good fit ever so slightly tight on width on the right foot.

I assume Simpson would be too tight at 10.5 .. maybe go 11 UK would it fit well ? Just seeing if anyone can offer some insight here.

Thinking bout this suede chukka mto

Suede is my go to in rain, I think it is for quite a few people as well, not part of the mto but a little bit of suede spray goes a long way

This is just my 2 cents (and I understand all feet/ one's tolerance/ way they bend their foot is all different) but I have a semi wide foot and I wear my Rain a little snug at 5.5 UK. But they end up quite nice after few weeks when the corks start to sink in a little and the leather stretches out a little. For Simpson, I used to wear 5.5 UK as well but it was just way too snug for me and now when I wear 6 UK in Simpson (or Uetam for that matter) it works perfect! no heel slipage for me skinny heel either on the extra length :) Jump in! this is going to be a great looking chukka!

Thank you! I think the vote currently is leaning towards Dainite at this point & Brown edge trim :)

Im in on the Chukka thanks Steve . I like the dainite idea but could do leather sole also. I'll go with whatever group wants on lining /edge

Like fitting BMW rims on a Benz. Never figured out how someone with wide feet can wear shoes for snug feet.
