Yes, there are many versions to be sure. I think I would rather have unpadded shoulder as well.

I think I'll head over this week with my pictures and talk to Gennaro about these few areas.

I've been busy getting ready to move back to the US, but here is a picture of my 3d fitting:

Coming along nicely- the buttonholes will be added and everything should be finalized next week. I'll post some close-up shots and better fit shots as soon as I can.

Any chance of a follow-up with more pictures? I'm really curious about the end result.

Sorry - I have been moving from Italy to the US and just now have had a moment to relax and check-in.

I have the suit and it fits great. The hand work is unreal. The tailor (not the owner of the shop) spent about 70 hours making the jacket- and had the buttons and holes done buy the best button guy in town. I'll try to post some pictures next time I wear it, but it's like 95 degrees here!

Have you brought back any of the shirting you mentioned in a different thread?

Did you make that Carlo Riva linen for yourself? In a 95 degree weather it would feel great...

Just read this whole thread, wow, I wish style forum could have more stuff like this.

We'll done to the op, thank you for documenting and also well done for going with the flow with the tailor you chose and letting him style you as he sees best. I'm astonished at the bloggers and forum members online who seem to go into battle with tailors, grudge matching them over the tiniest of details.

Can't wait to see the finished stuff.

Actually I had a shirt made up for my wife and she loves it! I have a few feet left over so I'll have some linen pocket squares made up at some point!

I have a friend in Napoli still (he's a Texan as well) who can take you if you ever make it over. Send me a PM if you should decide to go. He's had a few suits made already!
