Haha yeah. Couldn't help think how traqic it would seem when the rescuers opened that door, and found a rich dude and his family smashed to pieces in the harness-less pod, having broken their skulls on the steel pole as it rolled over and over...their hastily-rescued jewellery and cash an ironic decoration for their corpses...

On the plus side, those brogued balmorals are a delight!

by the way is high heel and Cuban heel the same thing? How did it come about in the first place?

Cuban heels are the \ / shaped heels and has nothing to do with heel height. That pair in picture looks to have a pretty high heel, maybe 1.5"?

I've seen a lot of 3cm (1.2in) heels in Japan, but 4cm (1.5in) looks a bit overboard, IMO

Nutcracker, This is a damn fine thread! I was at Ishida Tailor in Kobe this morning and saw some Nihonbashi Edoya shoe brushes. I will be in Tokyo next week and plan to stop by Edoya so thought I would see if there was anything on the forum about the place and found this thread. Outstanding info for us Japan residents...much appreciated.

Thanks Alter! Good to know the thread is put into good use by a fellow resident (there are a few more I know).

Yes, Edoya's old store is quite a charming place to visit, but if you're looking for shoe brushes, I advise you to purchase them through edoya's online store (sorry, they don't do international). Brushes are handmade in small batches, and released in limited number (5 or so each) each month, and they usually get sold out in a week or so. The online store has a realtime stock info. As of right now, they have every model in stock.

They aren't talking about 4 typical American fat *****. There is plenty of room (not comfort) for 4 regular sized people.

They're designed to squeeze in 4 adults of average Japanese build (170cm, 60kg each) and still float.
