Today, i learned that Robert Palmer died in 2003. and i felt immediately like it was a loss for manhood around the world.
so please, post up your style icons. be it movie or music clip. let's share what these people have left in regard to style.
this is my contribution.
R.I.P Robert Palmer.

recent icons are welcome too.

yup, he was on the money that time as always, nothing escapes the Birdman.

but style, that guy had it. and he could dress like that(top clip) next year and still be SF "approved".

any other "Icons" that we need to know about?

In the music industry? We've been down this path before. Post rock 'n roll? Charlie Watts, Bryan Ferry, Leonard Cohen, then daylight. Old style? Sinatra, Martin, Cash. Best Streetwear? Paul Weller. Label King's favourite? Jarvis Cocker. Spoo's favourites? David Lee Roth, Andre 3000, David Byrne. Genuine psycho? Iggy.

no, i mean. what influenced your style? who influenced your style?

when you were a kid,
who did you see as a style role model? -even if it were a character in a movie or tv show.

i can name others who are still with us, but would like to pay tribute to those who had style that endures beyond their mortality.

For me, it'd be Audrey Hepburn. But I've always admired Cary Grant. That man was as classy as they come. He had such amazing style and taste too.
