Thanks for the advice gentlemen. Is it pretty common to size up a width in the 82 last?

I don't think so. But the Barrie last is noooooooowhere near tight on me with any sock. So much volume in the Barrie. If you fill out a Barrie then you might be a bit wide for a standard width 82. I do not plan to wear anything other than normal thickness dress socks with my 82 last Galway. I have a 64 last Galway for thick sock duty.

Big thanks to skoaktiebolaget and leaves. They are a pleasure to work with. Great makeups, even better customer service.

A few post office pics of the Carmina frankenstitch boot

Nice choice. I seriously considered a pair but with a pair of Color #8 Aldens went for other holes in the wardrobe. Yeah, the signing for thing is almost like Russian Roulette without the gun and bullets, sometimes you have too and sometimes you don't. I wonder if I will have to sign for my Dovers next week?

Do I have bad luck? Cross post from the Carmina thread.

Just curious if loose grain creasing common on Carmina Calf 1sts? Just opened my boots.

Great looking shoes otherwise. Thanks for the input all.

Love the Frankenstitch.

Believe it's tan.

FYI, I did some investigation and I saw that this was actually Acorn Kudu.

Seems wildly different from the sample. Wondering how dark the tan kudu is now and if it is closer to dark brown than a light/mid brown. Any thoughts on the comparison in color to DOAK / Mahogany CC / Oak Hatchgrain? Is it close to any of them / lighter then all?

That's strange, because the swatch @Leaves shows that Acorn Kudu has a yellowish tint. Those shoes have a brownish tint like the Tan Kudu swatch. Maybe the original user you linked too was wrong or they've since renamed a few of the colors.

Yeah, I pretty much figured my reasoning wasn't exactly how you went about doing things.

Oh well, I'm sure some of my decisions wouldn't exactly work too well for you. LOL

But that Frakenstitch boot certainly tugged at me I have to say, Great looking boot.

Whatever floats your boat.

I'm just glad @Leaves includes free watches with my shoe purchases. Because let me tell you, it can be pretty expensive if you have to actually pay for both hobbies.LOL
