A quick - and possibly foolish - question about sizing:

If I take a UK9 in Carmina's Rain last, can I reasonably assume that I'll also take a UK9 in the Detroit last?

Especially given that the Detroit last is used for derbies, I assume that it's going to be a more forgiving fit than the Rain last anyway, and thus I should be fine, but I thought that I'd double-check before plonking down some cash.

Thanks, all.

I find the Detroit last runs large I had to go down a size from the Rain last.

^^^ I'd love to see a calf version of the u-wing boot.
Yeah. Leaves has noted that Carmina has a burgundy museum calf that's almost black. That would be a great version of the u-cap boot ... among others.

**** how did i miss these
Leaves or Gabriel mentioned that it was in the pipeline a while ago but it just popped up today. I got on the waitlist and grabbed a pair as soon as I saw it in an email. As NAMOR noted, this batch of shell came out just right and the details are spot on.

I've always liked these.

Also maybe easier to do with the cordovan shortage.
I like those as well, but after someone said that medallion looked like a monkey, I just see animals...I'm on to a fat owl. They just need to go back to the female anatomy for inspiration. I want lady parts on my $2k boot, not animals.

You were a female anatomy part and now some animal took your bootses.

(I kid, I kid… Just staying topical here…)

I would be in for that (I'd like to see an example of the calf first, but from the sound of it I would be in for that). I like the look of the existing U-wing boot, I just don't need another brown boot.

Yea. I'm ok with it.
