I could go for that so long its on the rain last.

Yup...shall we keep it in mind? My first GMTO, the snuff suede 5 eyelet rain chukka will be in in a few months and I'll see if I like the makeup. Rain is my favored last as well.

How narrow is that D (very narrow) width in Carmina? Any comparisons to other brands' lasts?
Maybe I will be able to give Carmina a shot after all, if it really is super narrow. I always thought that Carmina only made shoes that were equivalent US D and E widths, so this may open things up a bit.

That's correct, the Galway (Goodyear welted) is available on the 82 or 202 last for MTO Standard.

Great! Now I will be able to order a Galway in my size, since the 202 is the last with so many width combinations. Plus saving some money by not paying the advanced MTO fee always can help. I'm sure that will help a lot of us guys who love the 202.

I think it's pretty well confirmed NOT Vass.

my thought as well with all of the comments made about them over the past month or so on this thread. My guess is Stefano Bemer or St. C.

The simpson last is pretty narrow in the standard width. Also the robert last is narrow in the toebox and high in the instep area, so that might work if you have narrow feet with a high instep.
- I find changig lasts to be a better way to find the right fit with carmina rather than looking for different widths on the same last - since the different lasts even in standard widths vary so much in roominess at different points of the shoe.

I know it's a long shot but would really like to see Carmina burgundy shell Frankenstich boots GMTO again. I know you can do it Patrick :)

Don't listen to him. I just bought the burgundy shell boots from Carmina website on the basis frankenstitch wouldn't be available again and I would regret my decision.

how narrow is the simpson? Is it just like a US D or something? Is so, that is way to wide.
